Poseidon's Scallops

Total Time: 11 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 6 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 3
  • 1 lb scallops (fresh, ocean scallops only!)
  • 1 lime
  • 5 garlic cloves
  • 3 tablespoons dark sesame oil
  • 3 tablespoons tamari, shoyu or 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • gingerroot

Recipe

  • 1 chop ginger and garlic coarsely.
  • 2 heat a cast iron skillet.
  • 3 add sesame oil.
  • 4 let the oil heat and then add garlic and ginger.
  • 5 once the garlic had caramelized, add scallops.
  • 6 sprinkle with tamari and cook for 5 minutes.
  • 7 squeeze a whole lime into the skillet and cook for one more minute.
  • 8 serve immediately.
  • 9 it's very important not to overcook the scallops!
