Nuoc Cham (vietnamese Chili Sauce For Dipping)

Ingredients

  • 16 dried red chilies
  • 16 garlic cloves
  • 6 teaspoons sugar
  • 1 cup fish sauce
  • 1/2 cup vinegar
  • 1/2 cup lemon juice

Recipe

  • 1 mince chilies and garlic finely and place in a mortar. mash with the heel of a cleaver or pestle. add sugar and stir until it dissolves. add fish sauce, vinegar and lemon juice, stirring between each addition.
