Sweet & Sour Stir-fry Shrimp

Total Time: 25 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 2 carrots, thinly sliced
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons packed brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons vinegar
  • 1 pinch cayenne pepper
  • 1 lb large raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 green onions, sliced (optional)

Recipe

  • 1 heat 1 tbs vegetable oil in skillet over med hi heat.
  • 2 stir fry carrots, onion and garlic for 4 minutes.
  • 3 whisk together water, vinegar soy sauce, brown sugar and cayenne.
  • 4 pour into skillet and bring to a boil.
  • 5 add shrimps, cook for 3 minutes or until pink.
  • 6 whisk cornstarch with 1 tbs water, add to skillet and cook for 1 minute.
  • 7 sprinkle with green onions.
