Scalloped Oysters

Total Time: 55 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 40 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 1 pint oyster
  • 2 cups coarse cracker crumbs (saltines)
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 3/4 cup cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
  • pepper

Recipe

  • 1 drain oysters, reserving 1/4 c liquor.
  • 2 combine crumbs and butter.
  • 3 spread 1/3 of the crumbs in an 8 x 1 1/2 inch round pan.
  • 4 cover with half of the oysters.
  • 5 add another third of the crumbs and the other half of the oysters.
  • 6 sprinkle with pepper.
  • 7 combine cream, reserved oyster liquor, salt and worcestershire sauce.
  • 8 pour over oysters.
  • 9 top with remaining crumbs.
  • 10 bake at 350 for 40 minutes.
