Nb Clam Chowder

Ingredients
- Servings: 4
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 3/4 cup chopped onion
- 1/4-1/2 cup diced celery
- 1 cup hot water
- 1 cup diced raw potato
- 20 ounces chopped canned clams, with the juice
- 2 cups whole milk
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2-1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- 2 teaspoons chopped parsley
Recipe
- 1 in a soup pot, melt butter. saute onion and celery until soft, but not brown.
- 2 add hot water, and diced potato. bring just to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for about 12 minutes or until potato is tender.
- 3 add clams and juice, milk, salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika and parsley.
- 4 simmer over low heat for about 20 minutes.
