Scalloped Oysters

Ingredients

- 3 cups cracker crumbs
- 2 (12 ounce) containers fresh standard oysters, drained
- salt
- pepper
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 1/2 cups half-and-half
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1/8 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
Recipe
- 1 sprinkle ½ cup cracker crumbs in a lightly greased 8-inch square baking dish.
- 2 cover with half the oysters; sprinkle with salt and pepper.
- 3 dot with half the butter and cover with half the remaining cracker crumbs.
- 4 repeat layers with remaining oysters, salt, pepper, butter, and cracker crumbs.
- 5 combine the half-and-half, eggs, and worcestershire sauce in a bowl; beat well.
- 6 pour around the oysters; bake in a preheated 350° oven for 40 minutes or until bubbly and lightly browned.
