Savory Lemon Fish

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 4 boneless fish fillets
  • cooking spray
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1/4 cup chicken stock
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 2 pinches cayenne pepper
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons sugar (to taste)
  • 2 dashes soy sauce (to taste)
  • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/8 teaspoon marjoram
  • 1/8 teaspoon italian seasoning
  • 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder

Recipe

  • 1 press or finely chop garlic cloves, then saute in a saucepan sprayed with cooking spray. it may stick, that's okay.
  • 2 when garlic starts to brown, add chicken stock and stir.
  • 3 mix lemon juice and cornstarch, then add to chicken stock.
  • 4 when mixture begins to thicken, add enough sugar to balance the tartness, then add cayenne.
  • 5 place on low heat.
  • 6 rinse fish and spray with cooking spray.
  • 7 mix remaining spices and sprinkle half over fish.
  • 8 broil fish until it flakes easily, flipping once and applying the rest of the spices.
  • 9 put fish on plates and pour sauce over top.
