Mom's Broiled Halibut

Total Time: 40 mins Preparation Time: 30 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 2 -3 lbs halibut
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1/4-1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • salt, to taste
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup parmesan cheese, grated

Recipe

  • 1 cut halibut in to 6 equal pieces, rinse, and pat dry.
  • 2 combine oil, garlic powder, and salt.
  • 3 put fish in a dish or pan, pour oil mixture over fish, and let sit 10 minutes.
  • 4 flip fish and let sit 10 mins more.
  • 5 set oven to broil.
  • 6 roll each piece of fish in cheese then bread crumbs and place in 9x13 glass baking dish or on an insulated baking pan.
  • 7 broil 7-10 mins taking care to brown (rather than burn) the bread crumbs.
  • 8 serve immediately.
