Smoked Trout Spread

Total Time: 45 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 10
  • 8 ounces cream cheese spread
  • 1/2 teaspoon tabasco sauce
  • 8 ounces smoked trout fillets
  • 2 green onions
  • 1 whole roasted red pepper (store bought or homemade.)

Recipe

  • 1 mix cream cheese and tobasco in a bowl with wooden spoon.
  • 2 coarsely flake trout on top using your hands.
  • 3 gently work into cheese until evenly distributed, keep mixture as chunky as possible.
  • 4 thinly slice onion.
  • 5 finely dice red pepper.
  • 6 gently mix 1/2 onion and all of red pepper into trout mixture.
  • 7 put into serving bowl and garnish with remaining onion.
  • 8 let stand at room temperature for 30 minutes.
  • 9 serve with crackers or baguette slices.
